Gasparilla Festival of the Arts

  • Mission

Held annually the first weekend in March in downtown Tampa, The Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts is one of the Southeast's premier outdoor art shows. Featured art includes paintings, watercolors, drawings, graphics, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, photography, sculpture, glass and digital works. The Festival has always been run by a completely volunteer board of directors and festival committee who spend many years, months and hours working to make the Festival better every year. Lively entertainment has always been an integral part of the Festival and for the last few years Tampa Bay area school systems have provided young performers in addition to the professionals. The history is rich. The traditions are timeless. And the Festival has come into the new century as a vital cultural asset poised for a bright future.

    About Us

For half a century, artists and art lovers from all parts of the country migrated annually to the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, where the country’s most accomplished artists and rising stars vie for the $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show Award and an additional $77,000 in prize money.

The March 2024 Festival will showcase artists and their work to include ceramic, digital, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor and wood. This event will also feature the works of local young artists and a weekend full of live entertainment.
