Crash's Landing & Big Sid's Sanctuary

Crash’s Landing is dedicated to rescuing at-risk stray cats from the greater Grand Rapids area, providing them with veterinary care, and giving them a safe, free-roaming environment until they find loving forever homes. We specialize in caring for cats who test positive for FIV and FeLV, offering them the support, compassion, and second chance they deserve. Through our work, we strive to educate the public and demonstrate that these cats can live happy, healthy lives and make wonderful companions.

Our shelter is staffed by a Shelter Manager, Assistant Shelter Manager, and a dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteers play a vital role in the daily care of our cats, helping with feeding, cleaning, socialization, and enrichment. Of course, our 50+ free-roaming feline residents are always eager to supervise and lend a paw whenever possible!

No experience is necessary—training is provided to familiarize volunteers with shelter procedures and cat care practices. If you’re looking to spend time with compassionate people while making a meaningful difference in the lives of cats and the community, we’d love to have you join us.
