American Listening Project

  • About Us

American Listening Project seeks to bridge the political divide in America in 15 minute increments, using the tools available on any smart phone. We connect people who disagree vehemently, and ask each to "listen with the intent to understand." Conversations are in person or on video chat and are private. After the conversation, the participants make an artifact that can be shared publicly-- a screen shot of their conversation and responses to the questions about their differences and similarities. It's a powerful exercise that democratizes the transformational power of listening.
