Grow It Green Morristown

  • Mission

Grow It Green Morristown creates sustainable farms and gardens, and educates communities on healthy eating and environmental stewardship. We believe that fresh, local food should be accessible to all.

    About Us

As part of our farm to school education program, nearly 3,000 students aged Pre-K to college typically visit The Urban Farm each year. We also make student connections through in-class visits, covering topics including plant science, healthy eating, and environmental stewardship.

Last year due to COVID-19 we created virtual educational materials for the students, and engaged students with take home kits, like the take home hydroponic kit for the MHS 9th grade STEM students. We directly impact students and families in encouraging healthy and engaging lifestyles.

At the Early Street Community Garden, over 100 families garden with us, surrounded by a unique and sustainable public parklet.

Each year, the farm and garden are planned and planted to grow nutrient dense, healthy fresh food to donate to our partners in the community. Last year, we donated a record-breaking 8,800 lbs. of fresh produce. Your support and a lot of determination is what helps get fresh food to the people who need it.
