  • Mission

To provide safe, temporary refuge leading to loving, permanent homes for all breeds of dog through rescue and rehabilitation, training and compassion.

    About Us

While Rescued for Life saves dogs from all over the country, our main focus is Colorado. Many of the dogs we help come from pounds or shelters, where they’ve suffered physically and emotionally-some escaping euthanasia just in time.

We accept these deserving dogs and take full responsibility for their well-being. Without a central facility, we rely on a dedicated network of experienced, loving foster homes and volunteers to guide them from their pasts into hopeful futures. While Rescued for Life covers all medical care, our fosters provide stability, safety, training, and-most importantly-love. They are our eyes and ears, helping us understand each dog’s unique needs, which we’re committed to addressing.

Our goal is to ensure every dog is not just adoptable, but the perfect match for a forever home through our rigorous screening process.

We are proudly no-kill. We never euthanize for behavior-only in the rare, heartbreaking cases of untreatable medical conditions. If a dog is deemed unadoptable, they remain in our care for life.

We also work within the community to promote responsible dog ownership, spay/neuter practices, positive training, and the humane treatment of all companion animals.
