About Us

Located in Greater Columbus, Methodist Theological School in Ohio prepares transformational leaders for the church and the world. Students representing 20 denominations study at MTSO, drawn by a commitment to theological inquiry, social justice and a sustainable world. MTSO offers five graduate degrees: Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, Master of Arts in Counseling Ministries (with a licensing option), Master of Arts in Practical Theology, and Doctor of Ministry.

Ninety-one percent of students who applied for financial aid received scholarships, grants, employment and/or loans. A good number of the school’s 224 students benefit from significant scholarships—including 50 full-tuition packages.
