Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center

  • Mission

    As part of the century-old settlement house movement, CRC is a community-based social services agency that brings people together to help individuals and families build upon their strengths. For 50 years, CRC has been making a difference in the lives of neighbors. Many lives have been improved or sustained by the services CRC provides. We promote self-sufficiency while respecting individual worth, rights, and dignity. Thus creating a greater quality of life for everyone throughout the community.

    About Us

    *Family and Neighborhood Services

    CRC distributes over two tons of food and toiletries each week to economically stressed individuals and families through the Food Pantry--that’s over 6,000 meals per month. Other services include emergency material assistance (clothing, housing, healthcare) as well as linkages and referrals to other agencies and supportive services.

    *Children and Youth Services

    CRC’s Kids’ Club, an after-school and summer care program for elementary youth, is host to a daily average of 70 children Monday through Friday during the school year and the summer months. An all-volunteer tutoring program provides special interventions for students in need of extra help. Summer programming includes special events, recreation, cultural field trips and academic enrichment opportunities.

    *Senior Supportive Services

    All CRC Senior Supportive Services are designed to maintain seniors safely and independently in their own homes, to guard against displacement, and to protect our older adult population from social isolation. CRC provides a wide range of services for area older adults including:

    * Social outings to destinations such as the Columbus Museum of Art or Franklin Park Conservatory

    * Weekly grocery trips

    * Transportation for medical appointments

    * Monthly Breakfast Club

    * Home visits and personal assistance

    * Health-related or safety-related home maintenance and repairs
