CASA of Harford County

  • Mission

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program of Harford County is an organization of volunteers committed to serving abused and neglected children. CASA advocates the best interest of these children in the judicial, educational, medical, and social services communities.

    About Us

CASA of Harford County recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in Court. CASA volunteers gather facts about a child's family background through an independent, comprehensive investigation; make recommendations based on those facts in a Court report and present them to the judge or master; on request, give oral testimony in Juvenile Court; ensure that Court-ordered services and case planning are provided in a timely, effective way; provide emotional support to a child during stressful Court proceedings and beyond.
