F.A.T. (Frazier's Athletic Training)

What is F.A.T.

Frazier’s Athletic Training (F.A.T.) was created to give youth in the community a space to stay active and engage in an active lifestyle while using sports to develop great social skills and long-lasting friendships. This program encourages students to push themselves to their individual limitations to become a more well-rounded person and athlete. 

Why was F.A.T. created?

Throughout my professional basketball and coaching career I was fortunate to be able to bring my wife and children everywhere I went. Because of this, they naturally gravitated to basketball. Whenever I would go to the gym, they would be right behind me imitating everything that I would do. As they got older, they kept that desire of playing and being around the game. I started to show them drills to do and they would pick it up so quickly that I sometimes caught myself looking in amazement. Seeing the joy that they have for the game encouraged me to create an environment where they could be active, follow directions, enjoy sports and make new friends at the same time. This is how F.A.T. was created.

To support, empower, and encourage an active lifestyle while using athletics to help maneuver through life's obstacles.

Vision Statement:

For each individual to be an ambassador for active lifestyles while exhibiting problem solving skills that transfer into life's obstacles.

Purpose Statement:

To bridge the gap between sports and life's obstacles by learning how to use the concept of athletics to understand how to handle problems in your everyday life.
