Los Angeles, CA | www.lalgbtcenter.org

About Us

With a team of staff and volunteer attorneys, law students, paralegals, and interns, the Los Angeles LGBT Center is the country’s largest community-based provider of LGBT legal services.

The Legal Services Department is home to five main programs: Legal Clinic, Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy Project, Anti-Violence Project, Immigration Law Project, and Transgender Economic Empowerment Project

We serve the legal needs of all LGBT people with a special focus on survivors of violence, undocumented immigrants, the transgender community, and youth. All services are provided in English or Spanish. We also provide workshops, trainings, and technical assistance for agencies, employers, and service providers.

Legal Clinic
We offer one-on-one attorney consultations on a free or low-cost basis to those who need advice on a wide-range of legal issues, including immigration, employment, civil rights, family, and consumer law.

Legal Assistance

Center staff and volunteers offer services that include:

- Restraining order assistance
- U-Visas and other immigration matters, including asylum
- Accompanying survivors of violence to court
