About Us
AFT Local 2026 represents 1,000 full- and part-time professors and staff who work at Community College of Philadelphia (CCP). Since 1970, our local has organized three bargaining units, secured and defended fair contracts for them, and won new provisions. In January 2024, we will begin our next round of bargaining for all three units. Our current contracts expire August 31, 2024. We are committed to bargaining for the common good and are working with key labor and community partners to demand more for our staff, faculty and students. As Philadelphia’s only public college, we know that our working conditions are our students’ learning conditions – and we aim to be a resource for all Philadelphians seeking higher education.
