    CEDO, the Intercultural Center for the Studies of Deserts and Oceans, is a nonprofit center dedicated to research, education, and conservation of the upper Gulf of California and surrounding Sonoran Desert. CEDO’s mission is to collect and share information about this area with an intercultural public through a wide variety of programs and activities, which lead to conservation and sustainable use of the natural and cultural resources of the region.

    CEDO operates a full service field station and educational resource center in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, México on the shores of the Sea of Cortez, and provides teaching services to both resident and non-resident groups.
