Beyond Sport Integrated (BSI)

BEYOND SPORT INTEGRATED is a Zambia based nonprofit sports organization whose development objective revolves around contributing towards the education and empowerment of children, young people and their communities through sports activities integrated with sports, health education and social life skills that promotes and fosters healthy lifestyle. BSI vision is that of a Zambian society were children, young people and communities are empowered to lead healthy life styles free of HIV/AIDS, Stigma and discrimination and social injustices. BSI operates in over 22 Community Project Sites in Monze district using sport reach and serve over 3, 500 children and youth annually. Beginning its work in March 2002, Beyond Sport Integrated has pioneered youth led and child centered sports programs and activities that integrate health, social and life skills activities with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS prevention and drug and alcohol prevention. Above all, BSI sees sport as a source of joy to children and youth, a right to which every child should enjoy, and above all an effective tool which can be used to advance human and social development hence our theme, “Using Sport for Social Development”
