    • We are a welcoming congregation, possessing a rich history of civic action within Staten Island that is connected by a drive towards community action, spirituality and diversity. The church was founded as a liberal Christian tradition in 1853. Founding members of the church were abolitionists who helped work with the Underground Railroad. We have always been active in social justice issues and the arts.
