In 2010, Yari Soto founded an animal rescue driven by her love for animals. Despite personal sacrifices, she cared for strays and abused animals. Over time, her commitment grew, leading to more people seeking her help. Facing limitations as a single individual, she established a non-profit in 2020, alleviating financial burdens. As funds increased, so did animal intakes.
Seeking community support, Yari saw an overwhelming response within six months, resulting in over 150 fosters, 100 volunteers, and the rescue of 228 animals. Despite challenges, Yari finds every moment worth the literal blood, sweat, and tears invested. ALR, now a 501(c)(3) non-profit, relies solely on donations for medical bills, preventative treatments, food, and overall care. They stress the importance of community contributions, highlighting that each donation sustains their mission.
