We work on the assumption that education is key, and that opportunities - and not hand-outs - help people progress in the most effective and dignified way. Leaving behind the traditional view on aid, we purely focus on offering people the tools they need to become financially self-sufficient.

We also believe that providing business support on an individual level is a powerful way of providing aid, as it allows the transition of in-depth knowledge. Besides, we strongly believe that the betterment of individuals flows into the collective. We see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our conception in 2018 we’ve been driven by the same ideas: support, empowerment, and progress. Impact: Our goal is to create a measurable difference in the lives of our stakeholders at all levels. This is evident in the growing quality of produce that meets global trade standards. We're providing greater access to market opportunities for our farming partners, and a shifting global perspective in the habits of buyers. We measure impact at all levels.

​Co-operation (Partnership or Mutuality): We believe our work is as much about educating buyers as it is about bringing products to market. Our efforts are two-fold and rely heavily on established partnerships that focus on co-operation and mutuality.

Sustainability: We believe in working ourselves out of a job. At Cultivate, we facilitate equitable relationships that eventually last without external support. We set up models that are self-sustaining and can be replicated across various geographical areas.​

Excellence: We believe that with the right support, our partners are able to meet international standards with their products. We work with buyers who understand that high quality product and value driven practices are both indicators of excellence.
