  • Mission

The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA's mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals, prevent cruelty to animals and provide education to enhance the human-animal bond.

The work we accomplish would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. We have three locations, employ over 300 staff and rely on more than 2,000 volunteers for their time, love, and support. Compassionate, dedicated volunteers are needed in all areas of our shelters.
