WILBRAHAM UNITED PLAYERS

  • Mission

The Wilbraham United Players seeks to offer opportunities for all to learn, grow and derive personal satisfaction from an experience in the performing arts. From multi-generational large scale productions to small intimate concerts performers and support staff share one common bond - providing a quality experience for audiences and the satisfaction of a job well done by the participants.

    About Us

Since 1956, the Wilbraham United Players have been entertaining audiences of all ages with memorable musicals, comedies, and dramas. Based in Wilbraham, this non-profit group brings together people of all generations, cultures and tastes from throughout the Pioneer Valley, people who share a common bond: the love of a good show. The group’s original focus was primarily Gilbert and Sullivan, performing an operetta every other year through 1984. In recent

years, WUP’s repertoire has expanded to include such hits as CHICAGO, STEEL MAGNOLIAS and GUYS AND DOLLS. We offered the New England premiere of THE GREAT GATSBY in 2012 and in 2014 presented the Western Mass premiere of THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. Our goal is to expand beyond our current footprint geographically, provide more diverse opportunities within the organization, and to increase our marketability. We are also seeking to create a more sustainable development plan that will insure that the group can continue beyond our current 65 plus years.
