  • About Us

CASA’s vision is a Los Angeles in which every foster child has an advocate and the opportunity to thrive.

CASA’s mission is to mobilize community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children. A CASA volunteer is often the sole consistent adult anchor for foster children. The volunteer gets to know the children and their circumstances, shows them that someone cares, advocates for their best interests (including making recommendations to the Court), encourages them to grow to their fullest potential, and becomes involved in key issues in their life, especially permanent placement, and school, health, and mental health issues.
