Chicago Hyde Park Village

Chicago Hyde Park Village, a not-for-profit, volunteer, membership organization, is committed to creating an age friendly, inclusive and caring community that supports an enriched, healthy, socially connected experience of aging. Founded in 2014, we see the Village as an anchor organization to help its members remain in their homes and engaged in the community as they grow older through education, volunteerism and referrals.

Located in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, CHPV aims to preserve the character and identity of the neighborhood its residents cherish while helping members remain involved in the community and avoid challenges that can affect us all as we age— social isolation, health concerns, and limited access to transportation, for example. CHPV collaborates with other local organizations to facilitate a community of communities, to promote neighbors being neighbors, and to encourage residents of all ages to remain active and engaged.
