Queens Paideia School

Queens Paideia School is an independent K-8 school that provides individualized instruction within a progressive framework and is dedicated to using the most effective resources and methodology. Through our 5-to-1 student-teacher ratio, we create and implement personalized learning plans that continuously evolve in response to a students’ progress and emerging interests.

Queens Paideia was founded in 2009 by a group of educators and parents who believed that traditional large classrooms, with their high student-teacher ratios and limited methodology, cannot accommodate the needs or consider the true potential of most children. QPS offers viable alternative for parents who seek academic rigor, emphasis on the “whole child,” and greater involvement in their children’s education. QPS is subsidized by the Mechner Foundation as a long-term demonstration of the feasibility of creating an ideal learning environment for children.
