About Us

The 19th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program (GALP) is a state ran organization, with the mission of advocating – through dedicated, compassionate volunteers, for the best interests of children who are alleged to be abused, neglected, or abandoned and who are involved in court proceedings. We serve St. Lucie, Okeechobee, Indian River and Martin Counties. 

FREE certified training is provided. The average time commitment is: (10 to 15 hours per month).

Requirements:  Must be at least 21 years old to sign for a case.  Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.  Candidates should have some experience with computers and emails.
