Teen Kitchen Project

  • Mission

The Teen Kitchen Project (TKP) is a nonprofit organization that builds healthier communities through food. TKP brings young people into the kitchen to learn to cook medically tailored meals. The meals they prepare are delivered to individuals and families who are in crisis due to a life-threatening illness like cancer. We serve families in Santa Cruz County, California.

    About Us

Our current needs are: -Experienced adult mentor chefs to help our teens in the kitchen. Chefs should have a knowledge of whole foods cooking and be available from 10:30AM-2:30PM on Mondays or Tuesdays. -Flower pick up from a cooler in Watsonville on Tuesday mornings, delivering to our kitchen by noon. -Container sanitizing on Mondays from 10:30AM-noon. All volunteer opportunities have a interview process. Volunteers who will be working with teens will have a background check.
