California State Guard - 163d Support Wing
Mission
About Us
The California State Guard (CSG) is a volunteer force that protects California and its citizens from natural and man-made disasters, including wildfires, floods, earthquakes, and pandemics. It was formed to provide California with a trained and organized force in the event of a state security or state emergency.
The 163d Support Wing at the March Air Reserve Base, a component of the CSG, is looking for those that would like to serve and volunteer by putting their community first. We are looking for those willing to help our Wing's mission from volunteer positions related to search and rescue, fire hand crews, mission support, security force, and cybersecurity.
Service requirements include 1 weekend a month (first weekend of the month).
When activated by the state for a mission, State Guard members are paid on State Active Duty. Guard members are also eligible for free tuition at any accredited private or public university.
