  • About Us

    Dreamfar

Now in its fourteenth season, Dreamfar High School Marathon (Dreamfar) is a mentor-supported, school-leader led program that supports high school students of all backgrounds and abilities to train for and run a marathon (26.2 miles).

We support students to reach their full potential - physically, emotionally, socially, and academically. We are 100% inclusive and accept all students into our non-competitive program. As a result, our program attracts many students, including those who feel isolated from the broader school community, due to language, racial, gender, sexual orientation or socioeconomic differences. These teens, most of whom have never run, discover new strengths. Our students and outcomes data confirms that Dreamfar has changed their outlook on life, improved their ability to complete schoolwork, increased their confidence, fostered positive attitudes towards school, and made a lasting impact on their mental and physical health. We transform student’s lives.

Our program mentors between 50 and 100 students every year. We have worked in more than 20 high schools and have inspired more than 1,000 students to reach their goal of completing a marathon.
