    Somerville Media Center cultivates a vibrant and inclusive community by providing a platform for community voices that encourages creativity, shares ideas, and celebrates culture in Somerville and beyond.

    SMC provides a platform to share local ideas, engage in discourse and dialogue, and create content that celebrates lived experiences.

    SMC is the first community media center in MA, founded in 1983, and home of the longest running community-produced program in the world, Dead Air Live, founded in 1972.

    We are funded in part by the City of Somerville and various foundational and donor support.
