About Us
AUIS is an independent, non-profit university offering a comprehensive American-style education to all qualified students regardless of affiliation or origin. Established in 2007 in the safe, welcoming Kurdistan region of Iraq, AUIS is a student and teach-ing focused university where small classes facilitate candid, open discussions. AUIS received accreditation from the United States in 2010 and moved to its new, 400-acre campus in 2011.
