About Kitchen Theatre Company
In 2010, Kitchen Theatre Company became the first theater company in Ithaca to own its own building. Located in downtown’s west end, our LEED-certified green home includes an intimate 99-seat thrust stage space. As “Central New York’s Off-Broadway Theater,” the Kitchen has a reputation for excellence in production quality as well as audience experience. The Kitchen is an Equity theater operating under the Small Professional Theater contract. KTC is an artistic home and safe haven for its artists. Local professionals and New York City-based theater artists join Kitchen Theatre Company each season. The Ithaca community offers small town comfort and big city cultural activities. Our fellows participate in the full life of the theater and in the exciting life in Ithaca.

In its intimate performance space, Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC) creates professional theater that challenges the intellect, excites the imagination, informs and entertains. KTC nurtures a community of diverse artists and brings excellent art to the community and beyond.
