About Us
The Autism Health Insurance Project is a non-profit agency devoted to helping families with children on the autism spectrum obtain medically necessary treatments from their health insurance companies and health plans. We offer direct advocacyservices, as well as co-moderate two message boards comprised of more than 2,000 parents of children with autistic spectrum disorders. We also work with providers to obtain in-network status, single case agreements, recover funds from insurance, and other relevant issues. We advocate for policy issues on the state and national level, and conduct educational workshops in the community.
