About Us
Buffalo Promise Neighborhood (BPN) is an exciting new initiative to provide a pipeline of opportunities to children and families from the cradle through college and career utilizing neighborhood resources, streamlining family services, and improving educational supports and programs. In December 2011, the U.S. Department of Education announced that Buffalo Promise Neighborhood (BPN) was one of five neighborhoods across the nation to win Federal funding to support our vision. Buffalo Promise Neighborhood encompasses a 97-block area that faces many challenges; high rates of poverty, crime, blight, and teen pregnancy. But this is also a neighborhood bounding with promise, including dedicated community stakeholders, and rich physical, cultural, and economic assets.
