The Metro East Humane Society (MEHS) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, the provision of appropriate care and medical attention to an disposition of animals committed to its care, the extension of humane education, and the encouragement of animal population control.
MEHS is financially supported solely through the generosity of the public. We receive no financial support from taxes or from the government.
