Radio Daljir

Radio Daljir is a Diaspora founded and publicly and privately supported network of 8 FM radio stations operating in Somalia. In serving a wide array of Somali constituents and community members – in remote villages, towns and cities across the country, the following is the stated MISSION of Radio Daljir and Daljir Women’s Desk (dWd):

 ·      In our radio broadcasting and programming, we will encourage the creativity of our community; hence, will provide outlets for their creative skills and energies. In particular, we will promote and aid women’s creative activities serving the cohesion, stability, equity, education, and welfare of our community

·      In our advocacies and radio broadcasts and programming, we will engage in all activities that may contribute to a lasting peace and stability in Somalia

·      In our radio broadcasts and programming, to promote the full distribution of relevant public information, and to obtain access to sources of news that affect our community, but not commonly brought together in the same medium, we will promote and undertake broadcast presentations that are accurate, objective, comprehensive and vital to the interest of our community.
