Viamo is a mobile phone notification and survey platform that removes the barriers to insightful communication between citizens worldwide and the organizations that serve them. We help businesses, NGOs, and governments to connect better with the 3 billion+ people who are not yet online, but have access to a basic mobile phone. We specialize in interactive voice calls (IVR) and SMS in local languages, instantly reaching across distance, language, and literacy barriers.
Since launching in 2013, we've helped over 500 active organizations to interact with 5.6 million people in 40+ countries around the world. In addition to our technology platform and mobile network connections, we're rapidly learning and advising our partners on how to use mobile engagement for impact. Our users are finding innovative ways to use the VOTO platform in education, health behaviour promotion, agriculture extension, monitoring and evaluation, feedback loops, human rights reporting, and participatory governance.
