Our mission at Galileo Learning is to develop innovators who envision and create a better world. To fulfill our mission we created our own pedagogy titled the Galileo Innovation Approach. This pedagogy focuses on staff and campers being visionary, collaborative, courageous, determined, and reflective. Through embodying those attributes and applying what we call the Innovator's Process, campers develop invaluable life skills. They gain the ability to think critically when analyzing problems, resiliency to work through setbacks, and the confidence to take the kind of safe risks that current and future innovators need to create a better world.
In 2015, we are operating 40+ sites in the Bay Area and Los Angeles and are serving over 20,000 campers. In order to further our mission and share our pedagogy with a wider community, we are providing over $500,000 in financial assistance to families. The more we serve these communities and create opportunities for children to experience the magic of our summer programs, the more we will be able to inspire the next generation of innovators.
We can't create this experience alone. To further our mission and share our Innovation Approach, we have a rigorous and selective hiring process to find candidates who are as passionate for the academic and social development of children as we are.
