About Us
As seen in The Washington Post, Grassroots Comedy DC (GCDC) is a Washington, DC comedy business that is passionate about two things: comedy and making the world a better place. GCDC runs monthly comedy shows in order to raise funds and awareness for good causes that are vulnerable under the Trump administration. Since starting in Jan 2017, we have partnered with the likes of Planned Parenthood, Ayuda, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Black Lives Matter DC, and many other organizations supporting social change in the DC area. We pack the house with lineups featuring some of the best comics and storytellers in the region, such as Robert Mac, Jason Weems, Rob Maher, and Tony Woods. Our mission is to make humans laugh by improving humanity. Thus far, it seems to actually be working.
