Vern creates handwoven apparel in the highlands of Guatemala using traditional weaving techniques. Weavers making Vern products set their own wages which lets us have a positive impact on their communities.
By only working with weaving cooperatives, we can guarantee that all of our products are sourced ethically. We economically empower weavers, which allows them to make decisions on how to improve their lives. It’s simple, our weavers set their own wages and better wages lead to better lives.
Vern combines American fashion design with indigenous weaving skills. We design short run collections of thoughtfully crafted ties, belts, and scarves. The handwoven techniques used in our products predate the industrial revolution. It is a skill passed down for generations, from mother to daughter. This leads to high quality products that are unique to the Guatemalan highlands and Vern.
