Indirock

Indirock is a new indoor climbing wall coming to Southend. 

We’re a social enterprise driven by 3 fundamental aims:

• Bringing the adventure and enjoyment of bouldering to Southend
• Being part of the revival of our town centre
• Supporting vulnerable young people from our local area into work

Indirock was founded in 2019 by Emily and Gordon who live in Leigh on Sea. After a year of planning everything and finding a venue in which to build this exciting new facility, Emily fell pregnant! Everything is lined up and the building works were about to begin before Covid-19 hit… now because the baby is due before everything will be wrapped up, we need your help.

We’re building Indirock in two phases, with the first phase containing about a quarter of the final 7500 sq ft facility, as a form of “pop up”. Phase 1 will enable us to show our funders that there’s a market for bouldering in Southend, and also to engage our community in how we design the rest of the facility. We hope to begin building phase 2 roughly 6 months after launching phase 1.
