Encite Capital

Encite Capital is a nonprofit impact investing startup that invests in talented entrepreneurs to build great companies in overlooked developing countries. We support high-growth small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with capital, consulting, and mentors to promote job creation and economic development. Encite will begin work in Haiti, followed by the Dominican Republic, and then expand to other Latin American and Caribbean countries. Investments will be structured as debt, equity, and quasi-equity, with deal size ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 initially.

Our vision is to build Encite Capital into the leading impact investment fund in underserved Latin American and Caribbean countries. As one of few investors in these markets, Encite will bridge the “pioneer gap,” developing innovative solutions to the challenges that limit investment in these difficult environments. We will use this experience to build successful companies and leverage our success to attract new investors and SME support institutions. At the same time, we aim to scale our impact through strategic partnerships and thought leadership. These activities will allow Encite to create multiplied, lasting impact on firms, families, and communities in markets commonly overlooked as being too tough.
