Dollaride

Dollaride is a mobility company dedicated to making public transit accessible to everyone, everywhere, starting with people who live in areas that are underserved by public transit. We help people access public transit through informal networks of commercial drivers. In NYC, these local networks are called “dollar vans”, and are considered to be hidden in plain sight because they operate offline in the outer boroughs (i.e. Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx), outside of the purview of most New Yorkers. But to the ethnic communities that rely on them (i.e. Caribbean, African American, Chinese, Latino, etc), dollar vans are frequently used as the first/last-mile connector to and from “transit deserts”.
