Board of Directors (Active, Working Board)

    Arts4Schools (501(c)(3)) | Remote

Arts4Schools (formerly Arts in CT) is seeking five high-level, committed leaders to join our Board of Directors as we expand our impact across Connecticut, Washington, DC, and beyond.

We are not building a passive board—we are building a working, strategic body of professionals who are ready to actively contribute, lead, and help scale a growing nonprofit.

    About Arts4Schools

    Arts4Schools transforms education through:

    • Arts integration in schools
    • Live performances and assemblies
    • Artist residency programs

Our work supports student literacy, engagement, and achievement through creative, culturally responsive programming.

We are currently advancing our 10K Impact initiative, expanding access to high-quality arts programming for schools and communities across multiple regions.

    Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who bring both expertise and action:

    • Fundraising leaders and development professionals
    • Grant writers
    • Community advocates with strong networks
    • Attorneys, bankers, and corporate professionals
    • Strategic thinkers who generate ideas and execute them

Ideal candidates are not just advisors—they are doers.

    Expectations

    • Actively support and help lead fundraising efforts (give and/or get)
    • Leverage your network, influence, and professional resources
    • Contribute strategic insight and participate in decision-making
    • Serve on and support board committees
    • Act as an ambassador for Arts4Schools

    Commitment

    • Four (4) mandatory quarterly virtual board meetings (required attendance)
    • Optional monthly virtual meetings to support fundraising, planning, and growth
    • Participation in at least one committee encouraged

Note: While monthly meetings are optional, we are seeking members who are engaged, responsive, and actively contributing beyond quarterly meetings.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

    • Individuals passionate about arts, education, and community impact
    • Leaders who are resourceful, connected, and proactive
    • Professionals who are ready to help build, grow, and fund a mission-driven organization

    Final Note

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and scale a nonprofit that is expanding its reach and impact. We are looking for serious, committed individuals who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference.
