    Description

    Director of Development and Fundraising

    The Director of Development and Fundraising is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to generate revenue and resources that sustain MED Fund’s mission. This role manages donor relations, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns while working closely with the leadership team to ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability.

    This is a volunteer leadership position suited for someone with experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or donor relations who is excited to make a tangible impact in the field of Alternative & Complementary Wellness. A successful volunteer could grow this into a paid position

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support organizational goals
    • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners
    • Research and write grant proposals, reports, and sponsorship requests
    • Plan and oversee fundraising events, campaigns, and giving drives
    • Work with the CEO & CFO to create compelling donor communications and campaigns
    • Maintain donor records and ensure proper acknowledgment and recognition
    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors on fundraising initiatives

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, or grant writing
    • Strong communication and networking skills
    • Ability to develop creative fundraising strategies and campaigns
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and goal-driven
    • Passion for alternative and complementary wellness modalities and building sustainable programs
