    Volunteers can sign up for one of two shifts: Setup (12:45 PM–3:00 PM) or Event Support (3:00 PM–7:00 PM). Event support includes guest check-in, guiding participants, lunch service, station support, floating support, and event breakdown.

    Description

    Bridge Breast Network is seeking volunteers to support our 2026 Survivorship Retreat, a special event designed to celebrate and support individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The retreat provides survivors and individuals currently undergoing treatment with a day of encouragement, connection, education, and wellness activities.

    Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming and uplifting experience for our guests while assisting staff with event logistics throughout the day.

    Volunteer responsibilities may include:

      • Assisting with event setup and preparing the event space
      • Placing survivor gift baskets on tables prior to guest arrival
      • Welcoming guests and assisting with check-in
      • Guiding participants throughout the venue
      • Assisting with lunch service
      • Supporting activity or wellness stations
      • Providing general support as a floater
      • Assisting with event breakdown and cleanup

    Available volunteer shifts:

    Setup Shift (12:45 PM – 3:00 PM)

    Volunteers will help prepare the event space, arrange tables and materials, and place survivor gift baskets at designated tables before guests arrive.

    Event Support Shift (3:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

    Volunteers will assist with guest check-in, guiding participants throughout the venue, supporting activity stations, assisting with lunch service, providing floating support where needed, and helping with event breakdown.

    Qualifications:

      • Friendly, dependable, and welcoming
      • Comfortable interacting with guests and staff
      • Able to stand or walk for periods of time
      • Compassionate and respectful when working with breast cancer survivors

    This retreat is an important part of Bridge Breast Network’s mission to provide encouragement, community, and supportive resources for individuals navigating life during and after breast cancer treatment.

    Free parking is available on-site. When you arrive, please look for Bridge Breast Network event signage and proceed to the volunteer check-in area to receive your assignment and instructions.

    Volunteers are asked to arrive 10–15 minutes before their scheduled shift to allow time for check-in and a brief orientation.

    Additional event details will be shared with registered volunteers prior to the event.

    Interested volunteers should submit their interest through Idealist. Registered volunteers will receive additional event details including parking instructions, volunteer assignments, and arrival information prior to the event.
