    Description

Join our hospice volunteer team and make a difference in your community! We service all around the Portland metro, as well as Salem/Keizer/Dallas.

Do you have a compassionate heart and a desire to support individuals during some of their most challenging times? Volunteering with our hospice program can be an incredibly rewarding experience for both you and the patients you serve.

Our hospice team is looking for compassionate volunteers who are willing to provide a quiet, supportive presence at the bedside when a hospice patient is nearing the end of life.

Vigil volunteers offer companionship and comfort during a sacred and often emotional time. Volunteers may sit quietly with a patient, hold their hand, read aloud, play soft music, or simply be present so that no one has to experience the final hours alone.

No special clinical experience is required. What matters most is your ability to be comfortable with silence, listen without judgment, and provide a calm and compassionate presence.
