We’re building a small on-the-ground team of volunteers to help lead the Chicago Alliance. The Program Manager will lead this team and ensure the program is a success. In this role, you will liaise with and be supported by national volunteers, helping to build and iterate on this pilot program and initiative.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Program Management: In partnership with other Wevise team members, drive the TechPath Alliance and lead the mentoring and career development program.
    • Team Leadership: Help to recruit, mentor and guide Chicago team members fostering a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Outreach to potential nonprofit and corporate partners. Work closely with existing nonprofit and corporate partners to create a strong and collaborative Alliance.
    • Impact Evaluation: With the support of the Program team, develop and implement metrics to assess program success and impact, ensuring alignment with the Wevise and Alliance mission.
    • Champion the Alliance: Attend events that could support the Alliance’s growth.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Passion for the Mission: A deep commitment to leveling the playing field in tech.
    • Proactive Leadership: Willingness to take ownership and push the program forward.
    • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
    • Strategic Thinking: A knack for balancing long-term vision with tactical execution.
    • Adaptability: Comfort navigating the challenges of a resource-constrained, high-impact organization.
    • Relationship Focus and Servant Leadership: Proven ability to build supportive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and team members.
    • Empathy & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, inspire, and align diverse stakeholders.
    • Volunteer Spirit: A willingness to dedicate your skills and time to a purpose greater than yourself.

    What You’ll Gain

    • The opportunity to empower the next generation of diverse tech talent in Chicago.
    • The ability to build your network of like-minded people in Chicago and beyond.
    • A chance to collaborate with a passionate team of changemakers who value innovation and inclusion.
    • Experience working in a dynamic environment that encourages creativity and rewards initiative.
    • The fulfillment of knowing your contributions are making a tangible difference in the world.
