She’s Going Places (SGP) empowers women and girls through financial literacy, hygiene programs, personal and professional development, and cultural exchange opportunities. Our Women’s Health Program promotes dignity, wellness, and access to essential resources, locally and globally.

Volunteers in our Women’s Health Team help deliver programs that advance health equity, education, and empowerment for women and girls.

Position Summary

The Community Engagement & Outreach Volunteer will ensure Women’s Health programs reach the women and girls who need them most by coordinating outreach, partnerships, and community events. This role is best suited for a volunteer located in the United States (preferably California) who can support both virtual coordination and occasional in-person activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate hygiene kit distribution in local schools, nonprofits, and community centers.
• Assist with planning and facilitating health education workshops (virtual and/or in-person).
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners (nonprofits, schools, health organizations, etc.).
• Track participation and program outcomes to inform team decisions.
• Identify opportunities for new outreach initiatives or partnerships to expand program reach.
• Collaborate with the Women’s Health Director and other SGP program leads to align outreach with organizational goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Located in the U.S. (California preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized and reliable; able to manage outreach schedules.
• Passion for community empowerment and women’s health.
• Comfortable engaging with diverse groups and coordinating volunteers.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 3–5 hours per week (remote coordination + in-person/virtual events as needed).
• Participation in monthly virtual team check-ins.
