Room to Heal helps women and families after pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant loss by gently assisting them to sort, donate, or store their baby items — creating physical and emotional space for healing.
We’re seeking graduate students in counseling, social work, or psychology, and retired professionals (nurses, teachers, hospice workers, social workers) who can offer compassion, patience, and trauma-informed presence.
Volunteers visit families in their homes, listen without judgment, and work alongside them as they decide what to keep, store, or give away. Training provided.
Time Commitment: 4–6 hours/month, flexible scheduling.
Location: Chicago area; in-person only.
