Share Your Gift of Music with Our Hospice Patients

If you have an hour or more per week to give, Heartland Hospice welcomes your gifts of time and compassion. You can make a profound difference in someone's life, including your own. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team.

Do you have a musical talent? Singing or playing an instrument? Music is often the one thing that can both calm people, bring joy and wonderful memories and sometimes helps us forget about pain and suffering. This is our goal for our patients who are dealing with terminal illness. We believe that your social interaction combined with your ability to share musical talents will help our hospice patients escape their stresses and provide entertainment. People respond to music by singing along, tapping their fingers and smiling.

We support a wide area, and visits would be set up convenient to you. Areas covered: Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth.
