    Description

Empower the Next Generation of Talent: Volunteer as a Fall Braven Mock Interviewer (Virtual)

College is only half the battle. For many talented, driven college students, navigating the job application process without an established professional network can feel like an uphill climb. That’s where you come in.

Braven is a national nonprofit partnering with universities to equip first-generation college students with the skills, confidence, and networks required to land strong first jobs.

As a Mock Interviewer, you will simulate a realistic interview environment over Zoom, asking structured behavioral questions and providing actionable feedback. For many of our Fellows, this session is their first opportunity to practice storytelling and articulating their strengths in front of a working professional.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Conduct 1-on-1 Mock Interviews: Lead 15–20 minute interview simulations with Braven Fellows.
    • Share Direct, Constructive Feedback: Help students polish their elevator pitch, refine their answers using structured frameworks, and build executive presence.
    • Inspire Confidence: Share insights from your own career path and encourage students as they prepare to launch theirs.

    Why You Should Join:

    • High Impact, Low Time Commitment: Give back meaningfully in a single 2.5-hour virtual shift.
    • Zero Prep Work Required: Braven provides a complete interview guide, rubric, and question deck prior to your session.
    • Flexibility: Complete your volunteer shift entirely remote from home or office.

    Qualifications:

    • Professional experience as an interviewer or interviewee in any field.
    • A desire to share honest, supportive feedback with emerging leaders.
    • Access to a computer with a camera, reliable Wi-Fi, and Zoom capability.
