    Description

Give Your Time. Share the Joy. Make a Difference.

Minematters Foundation Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Plano, Texas, is seeking passionate, dependable, and community-minded volunteers for our upcoming Wrapped in Hope 2026 Holiday Toy Giveaway.

This holiday season, we are working to bring joy, hope, and meaningful support to approximately 100 to 200 children and families across Plano, McKinney, Celina, and surrounding Collin County communities.

As an approved Toys for Tots recipient, Minematters Foundation Inc. is preparing a special holiday celebration where children and families can experience the joy of the season, connect with their community, and receive holiday gifts.

As the number of children and families we serve continues to grow each year, so does the need for community support. While we are grateful to receive toys through Toys for Tots, we are still actively seeking additional donations, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions to make this celebration possible. Our needs include food, beverages, music, entertainment, children's activities, decorations, additional toys, and other resources that will help create a fun and memorable holiday experience.

We are especially looking for volunteers who can help us connect with local businesses, restaurants, entertainment providers, and community organizations willing to contribute to this special event.

    VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are recruiting volunteers for the following roles:

Community Outreach & Sponsorship Support: Help connect Minematters Foundation Inc. with local businesses, corporations, and community organizations to secure donations, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions. Volunteers will assist with making phone calls, sending outreach emails, contacting potential sponsors, following up with businesses, and building community partnerships to support the event. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, community connections, or an interest in fundraising, marketing, and nonprofit development. Outreach activities can begin before the event.

Toy Sorting & Distribution: Help organize toys by age group, prepare gift stations, and assist with distributing toys to registered families.

Registration & Guest Check-In: Welcome families, assist with registration, verify attendance, and provide event information.

Children's Activities & Entertainment: Help facilitate holiday games, creative activities, and family-friendly entertainment.

Event Setup & Decorations: Assist with preparing the venue, arranging tables, organizing supplies, and creating a welcoming holiday atmosphere.

Family Hospitality: Welcome guests, provide directions, assist families, and help ensure a positive event experience.

Food & Refreshments: Assist with organizing and distributing refreshments.

Photography & Social Media: Help document the celebration through approved photography, videos, and social media content.

Cleanup & Breakdown: Assist with packing supplies, removing decorations, and restoring the event space.

Volunteer Team Leaders: We are also seeking organized and dependable individuals who can help coordinate volunteers and manage event stations.
