Waco Market Restocking

Our Waco Fresh Harvest Market offers emergency access to free, nutritious food for Central Texans experiencing food insecurity through a dignified, choice-based shopping experience. Stocking volunteers receive and organize food, keep shelves stocked, and ensure the market remains clean, welcoming, and well maintained.

Eligibility:

• This includes manual labor such as frequent lifting (up to 30 lbs), as well as standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the shift.
• If you need accommodations during your volunteer shift, please contact us as soon as you sign up so we can discuss available options.
• You must be 15 years of age or older for this volunteer opportunity. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is age 21+. Each adult can chaperone up to 2 minors. Both the minor and adult must create an account and register for their own volunteer spot.
• Your safety as a volunteer, as well as the safety of our staff and neighbors, is very important to us. Volunteers must meet these eligibility requirements and adhere to all safety procedures to participate in shifts:
  • In the last 48 hours I have had no symptoms that could be attributed to a communicable disease.
  • In the last five days I have not been exposed to anyone with a communicable disease.

Arrival & Check-In Information:

Market volunteers should enter through the Main Lobby at the center of the building to begin their shift, and enter through the door labeled ‘Benefits Assistance’.

We ask that all volunteers arrive at the listed start time and remain for the full duration of the scheduled shift. Thank you for planning ahead to allow time to locate the building, check in, and be ready to start on time. Volunteers who arrive more than 30 minutes after the shift start time may not be allowed to join the shift for safety reasons.
